The Best Black Friday Tech Deals

Black Friday is here once again, and while most retailers offer deals on this day that aren’t really that great, things are different in the tech world. Technology retailers tend to offer some fairly decent deals on Black Friday (and usually a few days following Black Friday), so this might be an optimal time to buy a gift or two, or just buy something that you want.

Here’s a quick roundup of some of the best Friday Tech deals happening in the U.S. the Friday after Thanksgiving Day.

Walmart

Walmart comes out on top this year with some killer deals on various household electronics, but these deals are only available in-store during regular business hours.

The Dyson DC33: looking for a Dyson? Walmart is offering this model (not the newest, but still a great buy) for $199. That price is a lot lower than the usual $400 rate.

Blenders: Walmart also has some blenders on sale including the Ninja Single Serve and a Hamilton Beach blender with both coming in under $50 - an ideal holiday gift!

Best Buy Deals

For the most part, Best Buy doesn’t usually offer a ton of amazing Black Friday deals despite promising advertisements. This year, though, the company does have a few things worthy of note if you are thinking about creating a connected home.

Dropcam: the Dropcam is one of the easiest home video monitoring cameras on the market, but usually it’s priced around $149. Best Buy is knocking $49 off of this price by listing the camera at $100 on Black Friday.

Philips Hue Starter Kit: if you want to start controlling your lights from your phone, this is the kit for you. Typically, the Starter Kit begins at $200, and that’s the price that you’ll find on Black Friday too - but Best Buy is throwing in a Hue Bloom accent light for free.

iPad Air 2: Best Buy is also offering a discount of $100 on all iPad Air 2 models.

Xbox One and PS4 Games: select Xbox One and PS4 games will also be reduced.

Target

This retailer is offering free shipping on all online orders - no matter how much you spend. The free shipping alone might be worth it if you plan to shop online this holiday season, and just want some reasonable shipping rates.

Newegg

There are a lot of deals on laptops and desktops through Newegg this Black Friday, and the company has even made some of these deals accessible right now. Here are just a few - I recommend that you check out the site to see everything!

ASUS: there are 3 Asus laptop models on sale through Newegg, and all of them come in under $1000 (with the Asus C300MA at $199).

Tablets: Lenovo, iView, and Asus tablets are all on sale, and all are under $500 (with the iView at $49).

Hard Drives: Newegg has both the Seagate Backup Plus Slim and the WD Green 4TB hard drives on sale.
